Changing Lives … One Tail at a Time …

Holly is a stunning 6 year old Alaskan Malamute/GSD mix. Weighing only 54 lbs when she arrived to NY, this stunning girl is slowly filling out to the weight she needs to be (probably around 75 lbs). Goofy and loving, it is hard not to fall for this girl instantly. With her amazing looks and thick, soft coat, Holly is just delicious to snuggle with. She adores her people and enjoys getting and giving plenty of hugs and kisses to those she loves.

Eager to please, Holly is bright and a very quick learner. She walks well on the leash, is house trained, and knows “sit”, “down”, “stay” and how to give high-fives with both of her paws. She has a blast hiking with her foster family and hanging out in the yard, and she is adorable to watch when she plays with her squeaky toys. This cutie is working on learning to “fetch” her toys but doesn’t always bring them back! Holly is good with other dogs but does have some prey drive so needs a home without small animals. Although her foster family has been working on this, and Holly has improved greatly, she doesn’t always love to share her toys and food, so she would do best in a home without young children.

Holly showed up at someone’s house in WV in the late fall and surprised them by giving birth to nine puppies a month later. She is clearly a dog who lived in a home at some point, so we’re not sure where she was prior to that because no one came looking for her, and she wasn’t in great shape. Holly has been a wonderful mother to her puppies, and we are now starting the search for her forever home, so she doesn’t have to wait too long after her puppies are fully weaned and she is spayed to start her new life. This sweetheart promises to give you as much love as you give her, if not more!
