Changing Lives … One Tail at a Time …

Hi y’all… my name is Westley but my foster mom thinks I should have been named Elvis because she says I “ain’t nothin but a Hound dog” playin all the time 😉

I am a young, active 1 year old pup who likes to keep my long, lean 40 lb physique nice and trim by running and playing with my canine buddies in my foster home.  My start to life was pretty ruff.  I was doing my best to survive on the streets by running with a pack of stray dogs.  They were my only companions. Because of this I am working on having better manners with the humans in my life. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the humans in my foster home but sometimes I forget that they are not my dog friends and I can get a little mouthy with them like when I play  with my canine buddies.  My foster family is helping me learn to not do this by putting a toy in my mouth and guess what it’s helping:)  Speaking of toys… do you need a dog toy tester??  Playing with toys is my specialty!  My foster family often spots me on the dog bed entertaining myself with multiple toys.  I LOVE LOVE my toys.  My ideal fur-ever family would help provide me with the structure and guidance I need to be the best dog I can be.  I have been told I am very smart and eager to please but that I need a fur-ever owner who will be a strong leader for me.  The hound in me just loves to chase cats so a cat-free home would be best for me. Are you an active, fun-loving person or family looking for an active, super fun-loving playful pup as your companion?? Then look no further… I am your pup!
