Ethel is a darling 6 year-old Black Lab/Spaniel mix, sitting comfortably at about 40-45 pounds. She is unbelievably sweet, loves to cuddle, and will nuzzle right up next to you wherever you are. Very smart and determined, Ethel is friendly with her current foster sibling and would be a great addition to any home – she would be happy to live with children of any age, as well as other dogs and even cats! Ethel plays and cuddles with her foster sibling, a 4 year old Yellow Lab, and is very easy going throughout the day when her foster parents are working. Ethel is a darling, patient, kind, and gentle pup and would be a fabulous addition to any home!
Ethel does best in quiet environments, as she can get spooked by sudden noises. Ethel came to us with untreated dry eye that has impacted her vision, making her mostly blind. She has quickly learned to adapt to her situation but will require patience and encouragement as she continues to adjust. Ethel currently gets eye drops, saline flush, and an ointment a few times a day to help clear it all up, and her eyes have improved significantly in the time she has been in our care. There is a chance that with continued treatment that some vision may be restored, but it is unknown right now.
