Finn, a 2-3 year old, 50 pound Shepherd/Ridgeback mix, is as sweet natured as he is handsome. This gentle boy loves being around people, and he has quickly become an affectionate and easy going member of his foster family. Finn is perfectly house broken and calm and respectful in the home. He will always choose to be in the same room as his people, but when left alone, he is content to spend time in his crate.
Once outside, Finn is energetic and playful. He enjoys his walks and is friendly with the other dogs and people he meets in his travels. He is good in the car and easily settles down for the trip. Finn is still working on his leash skills, but is very smart and highly motivated, and has been responding well to training. He has a strong prey drive and will definitely try to chase any small animal that crosses his path, so a home with cats or other small pets probably would not be ideal. A fenced in yard where he can follow his nose to his heart’s content and still stay safe would be a plus. Finn is a very special dog, and he will be a loyal and devoted companion to the very lucky family who gives him his forever home.
