If you are applying for McKella, please indicate on your application that you have read and understand her medical needs.
McKella is a real pistol! Enthusiastic, feisty, and rambunctious, this sweet darling is always ready to have some fun! Playing with her toys, her siblings, and with the other dogs in her foster home gives her great joy. She would love to find a home with a canine buddy to play with. Smart and mischievous, McKella loves exploring in the yard and finding sticks to carry around. She has the cutest happy prance as she dances from one toy or canine buddy to another. Once she is thoroughly exhausted, she is deliciously cuddly and primed for belly rubs.
McKella has a very mild case of Megaesophogus, (where her esophagus does not properly carry food to the stomach) and is not currently needing any treatment, but she may need a degree of medical management in the future. This, however, does not slow her down and she holds her own in the pack quite well.
McKella is one of McKenna’s MC’s Lab mix and was born on 01/06/20 and raised in foster care, so she is very well socialized with people and other dogs. We anticipate McKella will be between 40-60 lbs when fully grown.
This girl is in the developmental stage of exploring the world with her mouth and will also be teething with sharp teeth for quite some time to come. Please do not apply if you have children under age 8 or, if they are older, who will not be able to tolerate this.
