Willow is a beautiful black and white 30 lb Border Collie mix with a soft, wavy coat and a gentle but playful disposition. Found as a stray, this young girl (1-2 years old) is happily adjusting to life in a foster home. She is a snuggler indoors and a major ball lover outdoors!
From her Border Collie heritage she has a wonderful ability to focus and to learn, and she has that trademark stare. She will chase anything you throw, and will find the even the tiniest toothpick of a twig in the yard and drop it at your feet, imploring you to toss it. She is a nicely balanced girl who does have a laid back side. When playtime is over, she will happily cuddle on the couch or snuggle into her dog bed.
Willow is initially timid and is easily startled by young children, so needs an adult home or a home with older children. Since she does have a prey drive, she will need a home with a physically fenced yard. This sensitive girl takes some time to adjust to new men, but warms up with patience and treats. She enjoys car rides, is making good progress with her leash walking skills and already knows “sit”, “paw”.
Happy to be with other dogs, she could also be enjoy being a solo dog, as long as she has an active lifestyle and lots of time with her humans.
This bright, beautiful girl is ready to find an active and fun forever home to grow up in.
