Cher
Cher is definitely a Goddess of Pop – she is very popular among the other dogs in her foster home and makes new friends very easily! This deliciously scruffy, 5 month old Labradoodle mix is a ball of fun! Her foster family likes to call Cher and her gorgeous sister, Celine, The Divas. At 35 lbs already, we believe Cher will be between 65-85 lbs when fully grown. Bold and adventurous, Cher loves exploring new things, especially if she has a canine buddy along for the journey. Unfortunately, these adventures often entail her dunking herself in any mud she can find in her foster family’s yard, but she is learning quickly that she is rewarded if she stands to have her feet wiped off.
Cher is intrigued and curious about her environment and likes to be where the action is. With a twinkle of mischief in her eye, this smart girl has a blast bounding and wrestling with her canine buddies. She is adorable to watch as she chases her foster siblings around the yard. Cher will also fetch a toy that is thrown for her but is still working on bringing it back. As much as she loves playing, this girl does thoroughly enjoy her pets and cuddles as well.
Her foster family thinks this might be the first time she has lived in a home, so she is still in the process of learning not to counter surf. Cher is crate trained, comes when called, knows “sit”, is house trained if kept on a schedule, and is working on her leash training and other basic commands. She is still very much a puppy and is quite mouthy, so she is not suitable for a home with young children. This rambunctious girl needs a home that will physically and mentally stimulate her and will set limits for her. Cher is still learning what is hers to play with and what is not, so she will need continued work on redirecting her to her toys.
PLEASE NOTE: Although we believe Cher is a Labradoodle or of similar heritage, she is NOT hypoallergenic. Her coat requires regular maintenance, grooming, and trimming.
Lolli
Lolli is a precious 3 year old, 28 lb., purebred mini English Bulldog. This poor girl started her life in the care of a backyard breeder, where she lived in a tiny cage and had many litters in her short life. Lolli has adapted beautifully to living in a home and is a dog who truly enjoys life. This angel is house trained, crate trained, and is working on her basic commands.
Lolli, named because of the way her tongue lolls out of her mouth, is a very social girl. She enjoys playing, whether it’s with her canine buddies or tossing a toy in the air and pouncing on it herself. True to her breed, she is snorty, slobbery, and delicious! This resilient girl melts hearts everywhere she goes, and she can’t wait to melt yours!
Molly
Lovely Molly is a gentle 1 year old, 50 lb English Cream Retriever/Great Pyrenees with deep soulful eyes and a deliciously fluffy creamy coat.
Hope
Hope is a little black lab mix who is the perfect combination of sweetness, gentleness and fun. At 1 year old and 33 pounds, she is still puppy-like in size and age, but settles down easily like a more mature dog. Hope is trusting and full of joy and wants nothing more than to cuddle up next to her foster mom, dad or sister. This is truly impressive since she had a difficult first year of life. She and another dog were rescued from living in a dark cage- deprived of food and proper care. But Hope is not looking back! She is 100 percent ready for the rest of her life as a happy go lucky dog.
Hope is house trained, walks great on a leash, and is unabashedly loyal. She is incredibly fun and playful and loves a good romp around the backyard or play session with one of her foster dog sisters. But she is also just as happy cuddled up on her bed- or better yet next to a warm human. She does great with other dogs and is very sweet and gentle with every child she has met.
Now this near perfect pup needs to find her forever home. Hope is ready and happy to meet you!
Ginger
Ginger Grant is an adorable chocolate Chihuahua mix with a vivacious personality and a happy spring in her step. Like her glamorous namesake from Gilligan’s Island, she enjoys wearing fancy things and being the center of attention.
This tiny 9 pound doll is one and a half years old and has lots of playful energy. (She likes to fetch!) She’s pleasant with other polite dogs, but she does not want to share her food and will indicate vocally that she prefers to dine alone. Miss Ginger Grant would also be quite happy as the only dog in a home.
Ginger is looking for a forever home where she can live the life this sweet little diva deserves.
Max
Fluffy and handsome Max is a Collie/Samoyed mix. This 6-year-old, 48 lb boy is personable, intelligent, and kind. Max did live in a home, but his owner became ill and was unable to continue to care for him.
Laidback Max is a true gentleman who is great with other dogs, cats, and children. Max was confused to be at the shelter, and he is hoping to find his forever home very soon.
Remi
Remi is a 5-6 year old, 60 lb. purebred Collie. He was rescued from a backyard breeder who was more concerned that he was chasing their chickens than that their dogs were attacking him. Despite this, he has been nothing but kind and loving to every dog he has met and is currently living with several other dogs. He loves his canine foster brother and follows him around the yard. Remi had wounds all over his body and some untreated hot spots when he came into our care, but he is healing up beautifully. Remi is crate and house trained, walks well on a leash, and is working on his basic commands. This guy also loves cuddling with his foster mom. Don’t you want this handsome boy next to you on the couch?! True to his breed, Remi’s herding heritage means he is not suitable for a home with cats.
Remi is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home.
Frank
Frank is an adorable 10 month old 30 lb Rat Terrier/Shepherd mix. With his cute arched eyebrows, he always looks like he’s concentrating, and this smart pup does pay attention! He already knows sit, come, wait, stay, paw and down, and is well mannered on leash.
Frank is an active boy, but is also incredibly snuggly. In the morning he likes to wake up slowly and have major cuddle time before starting his day. He had a rough start to his life so is initially insecure with new people and sudden movements, so would do better in an adult home. Frank bonds deeply with his people, and gets great comfort and confidence from them.
Playing fetch is his favorite activity, and he’s great at catching a flying ball in his mouth. He is house and crate trained, and loves to learn ( particularly when treats are involved!)
Frank is looking for a forever home will understand that he is a sensitive soul, and who will give him the reassurance he needs to continue to blossom.
Saucy
Saucy is a very delicious, female, 24 lb., 1 year old Dachshund/Pug mix, with little legs and an adorably little, muscular body. This girl is truly a gentle soul! Saucy just lo-o-o-ves her people and runs to see them, wagging her tail with joy and flopping over for sweet belly rubs. This girl has really grown into herself and when let out in the yard first thing in the morning, she zooms around in joyful abandonment.
Saucy also adores the other dogs in her foster home, playing with those both big and small. She is smart too…when she wrestles with the larger dogs, she positions herself underneath them and it’s hard for them to get at her. Other times, she can be found laying on their front paws and kissing their faces.
Hilarious to watch as she carries her big toys around – little head held high – Saucy is also content to quietly chew on a toy, bringing them one by one to her bed. When she’s done playing, this laid back girl will curl up for a nap and usually chooses to rest at your feet or in a nearby sunny spot.
Saucy is the ultimate yummy cuddle mate. One of her favorite times of the day is the evening, when her foster family settles on the couch and she snuggles up with them to sleep. With her striking emerald eyes and precious face crinkles, we are sure she will have her new family wrapped around her little paws in no time!
With both new people, dogs, and activities Saucy is at first cautious, but once she adapts, she’s totally in for the fun. She knows sit, comes when called, and knows to wait patiently for her treats. She is crate trained, house trained if kept on schedule, and sleeps through the night.
Tucker
Tucker, an absolutely adorable one year old, 65 lb., male Border Collie/Newfie mix is simply an extraordinary guy! He has personality that makes you laugh, is silly and just delicious. He loves his people, listens well, and is always happy to greet or be with them. This sweetheart loves tossing around and catching his toys and of late, has been learning to play fetch. Likewise, Tucker gets along well with the other multiple dogs in his foster home. He plays with his canine friends endlessly, running around the large yard chasing or being chased, (with big and little dogs alike) and definitely has that high Border Collie energy.
Tucker is gorgeous with his very Newfie body and build; soft and fluffy and ready to cuddle. However, he does not have the Newfie dopiness, so he will be ready for quiet time only if he has had his exercise and stimulation throughout the day; in fact, for him, being with another playful dog is a must because humans just can’t do the play like a dog buddy; (watching him with his canine friends is truly a delight). While he is playful with all dogs, his adoptive home does need one other mid-large sized dog.
Tucker is crate and house trained, knows basic commands, walks well on the leash, and sleeps through the night. He excitedly hops into bed with his foster parents in the morning for some kisses, before reminding them to get up for playtime. He has had successful surgery for shoulder OCD and has some early hip dysplasia, though neither seems to stop him from zooming around.
Please note: This guy is very large; in his sometimes rambunctious goofiness and happy enthusiasm, he can unintentionally knock you over, so he is not suitable for either the young or the elderly nor apartments or small homes/yards. For this guy, an adoptive home must have a fence. Please do not inquire/apply if you do not fit this criteria. All in all, this sweetheart brings joy wherever he goes and he is so eager to find his match.
Luke
Luke is a smart and loving caramel colored 2 1/2 year old 50 lb boxer/hound mix with a cute freckled snout and very expressive eyes. He adores his people, and wriggles his whole body excitedly in greeting. This boy’s favorite place is wherever you are 🙂 so he prefers to sleep in the room with you, whether that be in a doggie bed or- if you happen to like to share- your bed.
Clever Luke LOVES learning. He already knows sit, stay, paw, high-five, wave, roll over and even knows how to wind through legs, spin and jump! He enjoys playing with other dogs and gains confidence from his happy-go-lucky dog foster buddy, so needs a dog buddy in his forever home. Luke is uncertain around children, so would need an adult home or a home with older children.
Hikes are one of his favorite things, but he’s equally happy having a snooze or playing in the house.
Luke is a smart, loyal and loving guy who is looking for his forever home!
Westley
Handsome Westley is a sleek 3 1/2 year old 55 lb Coonhound/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is so eager to please he’ll do his whole repertoire of tricks before you even have the treat ready! This droopy-eared chatty charmer thrives on structure and affection, and is devoted to the people who provide it. Smart and silly Westley LOVES his toys, and when he’s not playing outside he can be found lounging on his bed with a tennis ball or a bone in his mouth. He’s got the hang of the first part of the “fetch” game…he’s still working on the bringing it back part because he just has so much fun running around after the ball. Westley loves to chase, and due to his innate prey drive he should not be in a home with cats or other small critters.
Snuggling is one of his favorite things, but this fit fellow is no couch potato. Coonhounds and Ridgebacks benefit from mental and physical activity in order to be happy, and Westley is no exception. He loves hiking where there are plenty of new and exciting smells, and dreams of finding an active forever home who will engage with him and continue to teach him and take him on new adventures…followed by excellent happy snoozes at the feet of his humans.
